Fantasy Football 2020: Thursday Night Football Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Week 5
By Kole Berrey
Start of the Week: Scotty Miller, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
First off, I have a general rule of thumb when I talk and/or write about fantasy football; I don’t care about the obvious. Do you have Mike Evans and Allen Robinson? Great. They are in your lineup as long as they are playing. The match-up doesn’t matter, you are locked and loaded with those caliber of guys every single week, which brings me to my start of the week: Scotty Miller
Miller is a great fantasy options for a multitude of reasons. First off, the Bucs wide receivers are banged up right now. All four of the Bucs top receivers, Miller, Evans, Watson and Godwin. are injured heading into the short week.
Evans’ injury occurred in a game in which he returned, so he should be good to go. The same can’t be said for Chris Godwin, who doesn’t look like he will suit up this week. That means Miller should be a green light GO in all of your lineups.
Past the injuries, Miller has actual production this season. In PPR leagues, Miller is averaging 11 points a game. That is in large part due to only having three points in Week two. HIs other finishes were all over double digits, and last week against the Chargers, Miller put up 19 points. His chemistry with Brady is obviously growing and if Godwin and Watson both sit, Miller has a chance to catch enough passes to do some real damage in your fantasy lineup.
