Who should fantasy football owners look to start and sit for Thursday Night Football between the Denver Broncos and New York Jets?

For maybe the first time that I can actually remember, I am not thrilled to watch football on Thursday night. The match-ups this year haven’t been super appealing (Dolphins vs Jaguars. Browns vs Bengals. Chiefs vs Texans) and this one has very little excitement both on the field and for fantasy football purposes.

Sure, as Chiefs fans, Week 1 was amazing. The return of football was a HUGE deal, and despite the game not being competitive, we loved every second of it. Bengals and Browns may have not sounded appealing at first, but the primetime debut of Joe Burrow mixed with the offensive firepower of the Browns made for an exciting game.

Even Dolphins vs Jaguars was fun, as we had Gardner Minshew and Ryan Fitzpatrick firing shots at each other in the media all week before taking the field. This week, we have almost nothing to grasp on to.

Leading up to the season, the Broncos seemed like they could be a high powered, must watch affair every week. Since then, they have lost Courtland Sutton and Von Miller for the year, and Drew Lock is out multiple weeks with an injury.

The Jets are no better. Their best weapon is…….Braxton Berrios? Frank Gore? Chris Herndon? There is nothing here that warrants excitement. With rumors swirling that if Adam Gase loses this game, he is out as the Jets head coach, Jets fans might actually be rooting for a beating here.

We have to remind ourselves just where we come from though, Just a few months ago, we were so deprived of sports that all we had to hold us over was old highlights and our imaginations. So don’t take this game for granted. Enjoy it, because we are lucky to be playing football at all this year.

And hey, if you are reading this, you probably play fantasy football. Sure, you may not want start anyone in this game, but you might have to with all the injuries that have flooded the league. So here are my favorite starts and sits of the week for the Broncos vs Jets Thursday night football game.
