The Kansas City Chiefs travel to Baltimore for a Monday Night Football date against the Ravens. The Chiefs hold a 2-0 advantage over the Ravens since the two superstar quarterbacks took over for their teams.

Monday Night Football is a terrific match-up this week, as it’ll be the Kansas City Chiefs facing the Baltimore Ravens with both teams sitting at 2-0 on the short season.

One of the biggest reasons this game is going to be such a big one is that it’ll pit Patrick Mahomes against Lamar Jackson and they’re easily the two most exciting quarterbacks in the league. Mahomes took over the Chiefs offense in 2018 and Jackson took over the Ravens offense halfway through the 2018 season and both guys have been incredible.

Mahomes has the edge so far, however, with his team winning both games against the Ravens since these two have been under center. Mahomes also has won a Super Bowl and led some crazy comebacks in the playoffs while Jackson has yet to win a playoff game.

Despite the Kansas City Chiefs winning the rivalry so far, it’s a new season and that record means nothing heading into this battle.

In 2018, Jackson lost just one regular season game and that came against the Chiefs. He and the Ravens forced that game into overtime, but injuries to Jackson paved the way for a Kansas City win.

The 2019 season took place in just the third week of the season and the Ravens had been explosive in their first two games, but weren’t quite the offense we saw by season’s end. Kansas City slowed them down a bit and won that game pretty convincingly. Jackson couldn’t get it done once again and it really did seem like KC was in the young quarterback’s head.

Something that needs to be mentioned is that both of those games took place at Arrowhead Stadium and this time around, it’ll be played in Baltimore. There might not be any fans present in the stands, but not having to travel will benefit the Ravens for sure. They’ll be motivated to prove they can defeat the Chiefs and that’s going to make this a tough one for the defending Super Bowl champions.

This game is going to be a fun one and the Baltimore Ravens are going to give Kansas City everything they have. After how much the Chiefs defense struggled to stop the Chargers offense last week, it’ll be interesting to see how (or if) they bounce back in this one.

The Chiefs might lead the series between the Ravens, but this is the first time the game will take place in Baltimore and that could end up being the key difference here.
