The Kansas City Chiefs head to Baltimore for a date with the Ravens this weekend. How did Madden see this game playing out?

This game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens could be the game of the season not just for the Chiefs, but in the entire league. It’s going to take place under the lights on Monday Night Football and that will only further highlight how big of a game this is going to be.

Obviously the selling point is Patrick Mahomes vs Lamar Jackson, who are the back to back MVPs of the league with Mahomes winning it in 2018 and Jackson winning it in 2019. Both guys have been terrific during their time in the league, but Mahomes has had the last laugh overall and in the head-to-head match-up, going 2-0 against Jackson and the Ravens.

Before we dive more into that, let’s check out how Madden did with its week 2 simulation.

Madden predicted big things for the Chiefs offense and not much at all for the Chargers, pegging the game to be a 45-9 KC blowout. That wasn’t what happened, but a big reason for the swing was that Justin Herbert was starting instead of Tyrod Taylor, which was obviously not a factor in the sim since we didn’t know Herbert would be making his NFL debut when the sim was ran.

The Chiefs struggled in week 2, which wasn’t what Madden projected, but they still won and that gave Madden its first W of the season.

Now, let’s get to this week’s match-up between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens. How does Madden see this game going? Let’s take a look.

Final Score – Chiefs 27, Ravens 24

CHIEFS STATS

RAVENS STATS

Chiefs fans would definitely be content with this result, as a win is all that matters, even if it is a close one. No one is really expecting a blowout from either side for this battle, so this score seems pretty realistic.

I find it hard to believe Mahomes would only attempt 26 passes, especially with Edwards-Helaire not having a huge game, but the 3 touchdowns are more believable. The Ravens run the ball well with Ingram running for over 100 yards and Dobbins finding the end zone.

Both quarterbacks do a nice job at spreading the ball around, as expected, but Hill has the biggest game receiver wise for either side, scoring 2 touchdowns off of just 4 receptions. This is the kind of performance the Chiefs offense would love to see from Hill in week 3.

Defensively, Ward and Okafor were both a part of the sim, so hopefully they’ll both be able to return for this one and do what the sim predicts them to do.

While this game isn’t being pegged as a blowout victory like last week, it’s still a predicted win and that’s big! Hopefully this ends up coming true.
