The Kansas City Chiefs head to Baltimore for a date with the Ravens on Monday Night Football. Which Chiefs players should fans be keeping an eye on this week?

Kansas City Chiefs fans have been stoked for this game since the moment the 2020 schedule was released earlier this year and now we’re prepping for it! It’ll be the Super Bowl defending Chiefs against the Ravens who went 14-2 last year and led the AFC, but bowed out early in the playoffs.

For this game, there are three players who Chiefs fans should be keeping a close eye on. Here are those three players.

3. Mitchell Schwartz

Chiefs fans witnessed a rare sight on Sunday and that was Mitchell Schwartz struggling to protect Patrick Mahomes. Schwartz got rocked by the Chargers defensive front, allowing seven pressures, something he hadn’t done since early on in his career.

It won’t get any easier for Schwartz and company this week, as they’ll get an incredibly tough Ravens defensive line that they’ll have to attempt to block. Schwartz hasn’t looked like his usual self this season and while that could certainly be because of the shortened training camp and no preseason, it could also be that he’s banged up a bit.

Schwartz has been awesome at right tackle for the Chiefs since they brought him in prior to the 2016 season after he had spent four years in Cleveland. Schwartz has started every game of his nine-year career and has always been the heart of the offensive line since he got to Kansas City. He’s huge for this o-line’s success and hopefully he plays better in week 3.

I’ll be keeping a very close eye on Schwartz this week because if he struggles again, I’ll grow even more concerned about his production so far this season.
