What did we learn about the Las Vegas Raiders?

The Raiders opened their new digs in Las Vegas against the New Orleans Saints and surprisingly, it went the Raiders’ way! They won the game 34-24 and won the first ever NFL game played in Las Vegas.

Truthfully, the Saints didn’t look like the Saints of old and the Raiders used that to their advantage and ran away with a 10-point victory. The broadcasters pointed out that Josh Jacobs and Darren Waller are superstars in Las Vegas and that’s really all Jon Gruden needs to make this team a potential contender.

It’s a long season and we’ve seen time  and time again how the Raiders can get off to a good start and then falter when the pressure gets a little steeper, but this is the first year of their vacancy in Las Vegas and they’re out to prove themselves to a new city.

What we learned about the Raiders is that they’re 2-0 when a lot of people didn’t expect them to be. Their offense has looked pretty dang good through 2 games, but the defense is definitely suspect and has given up over 20 points in both games.

The Raiders head east in week 3, facing the 1-1 Patriots in Foxboro for a noon kickoff Arrowhead time.
