Kansas City Chiefs: 6 things to watch vs Chargers in week 2
6. Won a close game against a rookie making his debut
This entry won’t seem as negative now that we’ve seen Joe Burrow in another NFL game (the kid looks like he could be the real deal), but it should be mentioned that the Chargers almost went into overtime with a rookie quarterback making his debut.
Instead, Burrow marched down the field at the end of the game and were it not for the kicker injuring himself during the field goal attempt, the game would have went to overtime. The Chargers defense did force Burrow into making some mistakes during the game, but when it came down to it, the team couldn’t pull away from a quarterback making his first ever start in the NFL.

This year’s Chargers team has a new look and they’re hard to peg honestly. Tyrod Taylor isn’t going to excite anyone at the position, but their defense is still pretty good, though they have their flaws just like any other team.
If the Chiefs can get a lead on the Bolts in the first half, they’ll have to go away from their rushing attack more. Kansas City should win this game comfortably, but it is worth noting that the 1 loss KC has had in the division since Patrick Mahomes took over is to the Chargers, so anything is possible.
