START ‘EM #1

124. . Quarterback. Kansas City Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes. 1. player

Let’s start with the most obvious one and that’s Patrick Mahomes. If you have Mahomes on your team, you’re going to start him, so this one doesn’t really need to be mentioned, but I put it here just in case people had doubts.

Mahomes shredded the Texans secondary in the AFC Divisional Round to the tune of 321 yards and five touchdowns. With Houston’s defense getting even worse this offseason, expect Mahomes to have a field day on Thursday night.

START ‘EM #2

Running Back. Kansas City Chiefs. Clyde Edwards-Helaire. 2. player. 124.

The Chiefs will finally have the high profile running back they’ve been searching for since the back half of the 2018 season and his name is Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who is going to be an immediate contributor for the defending champions.

Edwards-Helaire went from more of a bench option to a top ten draft pick when Damien Williams decided to opt out. Hopefully you listened to KC Kingdom’s own Shade Piper’s advice and targeted Edwards-Helaire early in your draft(s).

Not only will CEH a factor in the run game – an area that was actually considered weak last season – but you know Andy Reid is going to draw up some plays that involve throwing him the ball as well. Edwards-Helaire is going to have a huge NFL debut against the Texans, so get him in your lineups ASAP.

START ‘EM #3

Houston Texans. Deshaun Watson. 3. player. 10. . Quarterback

As good of a night as Mahomes is going to have, look for Deshaun Watson to pad his stats as well. The Chiefs defense is better than that of the Texans, but with the Chiefs not having Bashaud Breeland in the secondary, it opens the door for Watson and the Texans to put up big numbers in the passing game.

Watson is someone who is probably going to be in your starting lineup no matter what, but definitely get him in there for week one.
