Week 13 – Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos (Leigh)

Cullen mentioned in the first Broncos match-up that he didn’t see what was so special about Denver this year and I have to say that I wholeheartedly agree. The ONLY reason the Broncos will top the Chiefs this year is simply because they’re due for a win against them, losing the last nine (and if we count Cullen’s prediction, ten) games against them.

Denver is no doubt frustrated when it comes to trying to slow down the Chiefs offense, so John Elway and company figured, “If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em” and loaded up on offense over the offseason. They spent their first two picks on speedy wideouts, hoping that they’ll give Drew Lock enough weapons to go toe-to-toe with Patrick Mahomes.

The problem there is that the Broncos are banking heavily on Lock being the answer and he’s only played five games in his NFL career and now there’s tape on him. Don’t be surprised when the former Mizzou man has his fair share of struggles in 2020 and we’ll see that firsthand when he and the Chiefs meet for the second time this season in week 13 on Sunday Night Football.

It’s going to be too much for Lock to handle in primetime.

Prediction: The Chiefs will take the lead on their first possession of the game and won’t look back. Chiefs win, 35-10.

Player to Pop: Bashaud Breeland intercepts Drew Lock right before half time, rattling the second year quarterback.

RECORD: 9-3
