5. TCU Horned Frogs

The K-State/TCU rivalry (if you even want to call it that) has been pretty even since the Horned Frogs joined the Big 12. TCU has seven wins during that time while the Wildcats have six wins.

Kansas State won last year’s match-up 24-17, but will have to travel to Fort Worth on October 10th, giving the Horned Frogs a slight edge in this one. TCU had to postpone their season opener against SMU due to positive COVID-19 tests, which could put them behind the other teams in their conference.

Hopefully everyone who did test positive is okay and this game can go ahead as scheduled (safely, of course) because Kansas State and TCU always put on a good show.

4. Iowa State Cyclones

Kansas State has had Iowa State’s number, beating them in 11 of the last 12 match-ups, including last year’s 27-17 victory that took place in Manhattan. K-State had gone on a ten-game winning streak against the Cyclones from 2008-2017, but it’s worth noting that all but one of those games were close.

The Cyclones have risen up the Big 12 contender board simply due to head coach Matt Campbell, who has done great things for Iowa State. The Wildcats will travel to Ames on November 21st for a showdown with the Cyclones and hoping to keep up their dominance against ISU.
