A lot has changed since our last 55-man roster prediction and an update was long overdue. The needed updates were further displayed after seeing the Kansas City Chiefs at training camp.

It’s still hard for Kansas City Chiefs fans to get used to calling it a 55-man roster, but even though the official roster still must be cut to 53, it is essentially a 55-man active roster now that the NFL is allowing teams to call up two practice squad players per week to the active roster.

The September 5th date to cut rosters to 53 players is quickly approaching, so it is time for one last roster prediction (again we will be predicting 55 players because that’s how many will be active on the week one roster).

Before we dig into the position groups, if you look at the Twitter graphic below, you will notice that Bashaud Breeland and Mike Pennel are two of the 55 players listed. They obviously won’t be available to start the season, so we will discuss who slides into their roster spots as we work through the position groups.

Without further ado, let’s dive in!
