Kansas State Football: Players to watch during the 2020 season
By John McCarty
Will Howard, Quarterback
The true freshman has done nothing but impress since arriving at Kansas State from Pennsylvania and is now in a competition for the backup spot with Nick Ast behind senior Skylar Thompson. He will have every opportunity to win the job next season competing with top recruit quarterback Jake Rubley of Colorado.
Deuce Vaughn, Running Back
The Wildcat program has a history with undersized running backs and Vaughn by all appearances has made quite the first impression during fall practices. While playing opportunities may be limited this season due to the sheer number of players in front of him, Vaughn’s quickness and versatility have certainly caught the eyes of the coaching staff.
Cooper Beebe, Offensive Line
Originally recruited to Kansas State as a defensive tackle, Beebe was moved to the offensive line and immediately saw his name move up the depth chart. He is competing for playing time and could eventually start. With only Josh Rivas returning as a regular contributor from last season, the opportunity for playing time is there for the redshirt freshman.

Hopefully it’s safe for Kansas State football to proceed with their season. If so, these players are ones K-State fans need to keep an eye on!
