The MLB trade deadline is fast approaching. Which players could the Kansas City Royals look to trade?

While the Kansas City Royals have fared much better this season than what fans were anticipating, there’s still a good chance that they’ll sell at the trade deadline.

If the Royals do make the decision to ship players off in return for prospects who can help them contend in the foreseeable future, who are the ones most likely to be sent elsewhere?

6. Jesse Hahn

While Jesse Hahn has looked good in limited action this season, the biggest worry with him is if he can stay healthy through an entire season. He appeared in just six games last season, pitching a total of 4.2 innings. This season, he’s already nearly surpassed that total through three games, throwing four innings.

Hahn has a perfect ERA of 0.00 through four innings of work and has struck out four batters while walking two. The 31-year-old right-handed reliever is under contract for the 2021 season and could provide a team with a reliable reliever for the expanded postseason as well as next season.

As mentioned above, Hahn’s battled injuries in the past few years and that could deter teams from wanting to trade for him. If the Royals were to trade him, they probably won’t get much back in return.
