Fantasy Football Running Backs to Target – Number 3: Ezekiel Elliott

3. player. 123. . Running Back. Dallas Cowboys. Ezekiel Elliott

Ezekiel Elliott is always going to be at the top of the fantasy running back rankings as long as he is healthy. He is one of the best running backs in the league and that should continue.

Last season he had a pretty typical season for himself  as well, so following up Edwards-Helaire’s wild stat prediction this will be a boring one.

The only potential notable changes to Elliott’s stats this year could be a potential touchdown regression and maybe a small drop in his receiving stats as well with all of the talent at wideout in Dallas. However, Elliott’s 12 touchdowns from last season seems more than doable for him, so there’s not really a reason to predict a drop there just to make changes.

As far as the receiving stats go, he regressed a little from 2018-2019 and even with the added receiving threat of CeeDee Lamb in Dallas, it still seems unlikely that Elliott’s receiving stats take another hit in 2020.

For Elliott’s stat predictions, we aren’t going to change anything, as a very similar fantasy season should be expected this year. He racked up 284.7 fantasy points last season, which is good enough for RB3 on this list and that is exactly where he should be drafted.
