Fantasy Football Sleepers to Target – Number 4: Brandin Cooks

4. player. 10. . Wide Receiver. Houston Texans. Brandin Cooks

In the last five seasons, Brandin Cooks has hit the 1,000 yard mark four times. Want to guess which year he didn’t make it? If you guessed 2019, you are correct. That is why he may be a perfect value for your fantasy team going into 2020.

First, Cooks is a vet. He may be on a new team, but that shouldn’t be an issue for Cooks. He is no stranger to changing teams, as Houston is his fourth stop in six seasons. That didn’t effect his on field game play, and it shouldn’t now.

Cooks’ game is speed and more speed. This should translate well in an offseason that is wonky, as he can be used as a deep threat before he even learns the entire playbook. Catching passes from Deshaun Watson doesn’t hurt his stock either.

As far as ADP goes, Cooks is mostly being forgotten right now. He is going off the board as the WR35, which puts him in the back of the eighth round.

Another thing in Cooks’ favor is that the team is vacating its number one receiver, as DeAndre Hopkins now suits up for the Arizona Cardinals. Volume is something he will need to succeed as a deep threat, and a return to form is in the cards after a down year due to injury.
