Number 8: Eric Reid, Safety

Eric Reid is a former first round pick by the 49ers back in 2013. He was a Pro Bowler as a rookie and had a nice career in San Francisco where he spent the first five years of his career.

Reid spent the past two seasons with the Panthers, but now the 28 year old (turning 29 in December) is on the free agent market. He’s still young and has a lot to offer a team.

Is he a fit for the KC Chiefs?

The Chiefs are set at the safety spot. They have Tyrann Mathieu, Juan Thornhill, and Daniel Sorensen, so as much as Reid could offer a team, it’s probably not going to be in Kansas City.

Number 7: Mike Daniels, Defensive Lineman

This time last year, Mike Daniels looked like a great pick-up in the free agent market when the Packers surprisingly let him go. Detroit scooped him up and it was met with mixed results, as Daniels started just two games and appeared in nine total.

Daniels only notched one sack last year and had just ten tackles, which wasn’t what the Lions had in mind when they brought him in. He’s not the player he was who recorded six and a half sacks in 2013, but he could be a valuable depth piece.

Is he a fit for the KC Chiefs?

The Chiefs are honestly looking pretty good along the defensive line, but they certainly wouldn’t turn down more depth there. Daniels could be an option, but after his lackluster 2019 season, it’s doubtful he’d be a realistic target for the Super Bowl champs.
