Fantasy Football Tight Ends to Target – Number 12: Tyler Higbee

player. 51. . Tight End. Los Angeles Rams. Tyler Higbee. 12

Tyler Higbee falls a little lower in the rankings here than in a lot of other rankings. His low touchdown total from last season is a little scary, but what affects him the most as far as these rankings go is the presence of Gerald Everett.

Everett had a four-game stretch early on before an injury-riddled end to his season in which he had two touchdowns and a 136-yard game. He also had three double-digit target weeks despite missing pretty much all of the last five games due to injury.

Higbee still has upside after his breakout season and could bring borderline TE1 value, but don’t be surprised if Everett spoils Higbees coming out party just as quickly as it started. Higbee has a nice ceiling, but comes with a little risk.

Fantasy Football Tight Ends to Target – Number 11: Mike Gesicki

. Tight End. Miami Dolphins. Mike Gesicki. 11. player. 59

Mike Gesicki finished as TE11 last season in half PPR and he falls in the same place in these rankings. He should see plenty of targets, especially with the opt-outs of Albert Wilson and Allen Hurns.

With an additional year of experience and decreased target competition, he could very easily improve upon last season. Unfortunately, there were other tight ends returning from injury or (spoiler alert) retirement that prevented a big leap in the rankings.

If he can stay healthy and continue building off of last season, look at TE11 as his floor this season. He looked great toward the back half of the season and we all know Ryan Fitzpatrick can put up fantasy numbers when he is at the top of his game, so don’t be afraid to take a swing at Gesicki as your TE1.
