It’s fantasy football season and that means fantasy drafts are inching closer. Which defenses and special teams should you be looking to add in your fantasy draft?

Somehow it’s fantasy football season already! With that in mind, KC Kingdom kicks off their series of “Top 15” to target at every position in fantasy. We’ll start everything off with the defenses and special teams to target.

Defenses might not seem all that important or exciting, but if you land a top tier defense in your draft, you’ll be surprised at how much they can help you out during the course of the season. It can also work in the opposite way, however, as a not so good defense can hurt you big time, especially if you play in a league where players and defenses can actually lose you points.

I’m here to help when it comes to fantasy defenses and hopefully this gives you some insight on who to take and who to pass on when your fantasy draft takes place. Let’s get to it!

Fantasy Football Defenses/Special Teams to Target – Number 15: Titans

35. . D/ST. Tennessee Titans. Tennessee Titans. 15. player

The Titans surprised the heck out of everyone last year, somehow making it all the way to the AFC Championship Game where they actually led the eventual Super Bowl winning Chiefs at one point.

Part of why the Titans were able to make it so deep into the 2019 season is that their defense was top notch. They did lose big names like Jurrell Casey and Logan Ryan, but they have a solid core returning in Kevin Byard, Jayon Brown, Adoree’ Jackson, and Harold Landry while also adding rookie Kristian Fulton.

The Titans finished the 2019 season tied for the tenth most takeaways and will look to build on that in 2020 with some motivation to get back to the AFC title game.

Tennessee might not be the flashiest defense to have, but they could surprise some people yet again this year and should be available near the end of the draft for you to scoop up late.
