KC Chiefs: Pros and cons of Patrick Mahomes’ ten-year deal
Patrick Mahomes signed a ten-year deal worth over $500 million. While the KC Chiefs quarterback deserves every bit of that contract, there are some cons that come along with this deal.

At this point, everyone is likely aware of the massive contract that Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes signed a couple of weeks ago, and if you are not then the rest of this piece will be lost on you.
I’m sure by now most of you reading this piece have already tracked down and thoroughly dissected every line of the contract that is available to the public. The bottom line is that Mahomes has been made a very wealthy man by the Chiefs and will be remaining in Kansas City for quite sometime, at least the next ten years.
Don’t misunderstand me, Chiefs Kingdom – Fewer are happier about the Mahomes mega-deal than myself, except maybe Mahomes himself.
I must play devils advocate in saying that no contract signing is unanimously beneficial, just as no player is unanimously flawless. In the spirit of objectivity and fairness, even as Chiefs fans, we must remove our red and gold colored glasses and look at this contract, player, and situation from a third person perspective and really examine all sides of the situation.
So, in the interest of fairness, let us take a peak at the pros and cons of the Patrick Mahomes contract.
