Kansas City Royals baseball is set to get underway, but it’ll be over quickly for some of the prospects on the roster.

There are, of course, other names that won’t end up contributing to the team in 2020, but these seven are ones who I’d be shocked if they took the field at all in this shortened MLB season.

Bobby Witt Jr. is one of the biggest names on the roster due to where he was taken in the draft and what he can bring to this team in the near future. As exciting as it’ll be to watch him take at bats in Summer Camp, having him on the big league roster would be foolish.

Nick Pratto is someone who is going to get hurt the most by there not being a minor league season, as his 2019 numbers were not good. Hopefully he can do some good in his limited opportunities in camp.

While it’s fun to have baseball back in the fold, hopefully the season can go on safely and the Royals can make the most out of a shortened season. Hopefully the 2021 season can go on as planned and the Royals’ rebuild isn’t set back too much.
