Who would KC Chiefs remove from each AFC West team?

Denver Broncos – Drew Lock

As mentioned on the intro slide, the Broncos made it a point to get better offensively this offseason because they think they have their quarterback of the future. It’s pretty simple for the Broncos in 2020 – If Drew Lock is good, they’ll be good and maybe even a playoff team. If he regresses and isn’t good, they won’t be good in 2020.

What if the Chiefs decided to not even give the Broncos the chance to be good? What if they simply removed Lock from Denver’s roster and made them roll with another quarterback castoff for the third year in a row?

While I definitely think that Lock has been overhyped this offseason, taking him out of the Broncos’ equation in what could be their biggest season in several years would be the best option. I also considered going with Courtland Sutton here, but without a decent quarterback, Sutton wouldn’t take over a game.

Lock might not be the savior the Broncos are hoping he’ll be, but he’s the obvious choice here when it comes to who the Chiefs would remove from their AFC West opponent’s roster simply because of the hope he provides that fan base.

If the Chiefs wanted to weaken the Broncos in 2020, it’d be to take away the guy who they hope is going to be their quarterback of the future.
