These five Kansas City Chiefs have a lot to prove this year. Who are these players and what do they need to do to show they’re for real?

The only constant in the NFL is competition. It doesn’t matter how well you’ve played or how liked you are by the fans, the moment you give someone else a chance they are going to take it. In Kansas City this year, some might not see this as true.

The team is returning the vast majority of it’s starters and the #runitback slogan is built on the idea that all the team needs to do is play just like last year and they’ll all be successful. This can’t be further from the truth.

Even as they try to run it back, the 2020 season for many players won’t be about the eternal glory of winning, but rather a fight to remain a member of the Kansas City Chiefs for the future. With that in mind, we’re going to countdown the top five players in Kansas City who are entering a make or break season.

The players on this list are all required to up their level of play from the prior seasons or face replacement at the end of the season. Keep in mind Sammy Watkins and Damien Williams will not be included on this list because it’s likely the Chiefs are moving off them even if they have good seasons.
