NUMBER THREE: DARRYL WILLIAMS (CENTER)

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. player. 893. C. Mississippi State. Darryl Williams. 3

Darryl Williams was one of the Chiefs’ best UDFA signings. Coming out of Mississippi St as a three-year starter, he was the second-rated interior offensive linemen available post-draft according to NFL.com.

Interior offensive line is a spot on the roster where there are starting spots and depth positions up for grabs. Williams likely has a one in three shot at the starting center position. Austin Reiter is fine, but is also replaceable should someone emerge as a better option this summer. That could pave the way for Williams to find his way into a starting role.

Yes, as crazy as it sounds, he does have a legit chance in going from UDFA to NFL starter as a rookie. It is a wide-open competition between Austin Reiter, Nick Allegretti, and Williams.

May the best man win!
