Outlook

The Kansas City Royals will not fall into obscurity the way the Philadelphia Athletics and Washington Senators did after the Great Depression.

The immediate situation after MLB rosters unfreeze could be our beloved franchises faces are sold off, but this could help the franchise in the long-term. It will be hard to swallow, but hopefully the ownership group does not get into a position of bankruptcy and they baton down the hatch until things get better.

Jobs will return, the economy will get back on its feet, and the fans will return. The rich landscape of professional baseball may be lost for 2020 and 2021, but the Kansas City Royals are structured to begin their return to glory following those seasons.
