KC Chiefs fans should just enjoy 2020 NFL Draft due to Patrick Mahomes

Excitement, nervousness, and anticipation build for the KC Chiefs and the first round, as the first time since 2017, the Chiefs have a first round draft pick. That night in 2017 worked out well. Tonight, just enjoy.
For years, Kansas City Chiefs fans had been fooled, had the wool pulled over their eyes getting the right linebacker or wide receiver or offensive tackle was going to be that special missing piece to shake the dust off of playoff victories and trophy glory.
As the years passed and the dust collected, Chiefs fans began to learn a harsh truth: It is and always has been about one thing. The quarterback and the Kansas City Chiefs have the best in the entire league, who is just 24 years old and only just getting started.
So remember Chiefs fans as we watch and take in the draft, all the rounds for all their glory in what will be a very unique and interesting weekend of drafting, but the Chiefs have Patrick Mahomes.
Whether you want the LSU linebacker Patrick Queen or the Georgia running back D’Andre Swift, the stress is abated because Kansas City has the best quarterback in the league: one who already has an MVP and a Super Bowl MVP on his resumé.
So, as the draft kicks off with excitement, as the Cincinnati Bengals peg their future to one year wonder Joe Burrow, while teams jockey around for Tua or dream about the arm of Herbert, we can soak it in, knowing we have a Super Bowl trophy to hold on to.
There has to be a level of comfort knowing, no team in the draft will come away with a player as good as the one that plays for our team, in our town, wearing our colors.
And as teams move around, silently stalking the middle rounds looking for that steal of a player, that right player overlooked by the rest of the league that will one day help a team to glory, the Chiefs have the best quarterback in the league. In the end, nothing else really matters. We’ve learned that by now. So go ahead NFL and do your worst. We can take it.
So if the KC Chiefs don’t get the linebacker you have dreamt of, or maybe they do, let’s all sit back and enjoy, knowing we have Patrick Mahomes, and the rest of the NFL, well, they are chasing us. Try to keep up suckers.
