It’s football fans’ favorite time of the year: DRAFT WEEK! As such, here is my final Kansas City Chiefs mock draft for 2020. How will this play out?

Draft week has arrived and it’s time to see who will be the newest members of the Kansas City Chiefs. This is my sixth and final mock draft for 2020 and it turned out pretty well. I used The Draft Network’s mock draft simulator this time around and simply drafted for needs rather than following any particular theme.

So, who will join the Chiefs in this mock draft? Let’s find out.

ROUND 1: PICK 32 (32ND OVERALL)

While there’s been plenty of buzz about the Chiefs trading out of this spot and going their third straight year without a first round pick, in this mock, the Chiefs stay put and land Zack Baun out of Wisconsin – a player who would be awesome for the Chiefs defense.

Something that stands out about Baun is that he’s at his best when he’s moved around on the field and we know how much Steve Spagnuolo likes to have flexible players for his defense. Baun had 12.5 sacks last year with the Badgers and the Chiefs could use that kind of pass rusher alongside Chris Jones and Frank Clark.

If the Chiefs don’t trade out of the first round, landing Zack Baun would be a thrill and he’d add an impact playmaker on the defensive side of the ball.

WHAT EXPERTS ARE SAYING:

"It may take a year of seasoning for Baun to make an impact in all the ways he’s capable of contributing, but he should be a heavily-featured sub package option right away. -Joe Marino, The Draft Network"
