With free agency mostly completed, the Kansas City Chiefs, as well as the rest of the NFL, turns attention now to the NFL Draft, which takes place next week.

The NFL Draft is truly the lifeline of NFL teams, including the Kansas City Chiefs, as teams aim to find the best, cheapest talent to supplement the rest of veteran rosters. The more picks, the better.

In the upcoming draft, the Chiefs have only five picks with all of those coming in the first five rounds. No sixth or seventh round picks for Kansas City, at least as it now stands. Meanwhile, the Denver Broncos are aimed with ten picks, half of which are in the first three rounds.

For the rest of this article, I’ll conduct a full mock draft using the website The Draft Network, and I’ll control all of the AFC West teams, from the Super Bowl champions to suddenly Philip River-less Los Angeles Chargers.

Between the four teams, that’s 29 draft selections.

Let’s start with the Chargers, who will be the first AFC West team selecting, as they have the No. 6 pick in the first round after finishing the 2019 season a disappointing 5-11.
