KC Chiefs news includes the 2020 NFL season win totals being released by Caesar’s and the Kansas City Chiefs are projected at 12 wins.

The Kansas City Chiefs are reigning Super Bowl champions and Caesars Palace projects they’ll be pretty dang good again in 2020. The projected win totals are out and the Chiefs are set at 12 wins, which is what they’ve had in three of the last four seasons.

Since Andy Reid took over in 2013, the Chiefs have had a winning record every year, double digit wins in all but one season, and have made the playoffs in all but one season. Reid has been a saving grace for this franchise, but let’s not kid ourselves here. The main reason the Chiefs are once again projected to be one of the best teams in the NFL is because of Patrick Mahomes.

Along with Reid and Mahomes, the Chiefs have retained 20 of their 22 starters from the Super Bowl winning team, which is as good a reason as any to pick them to repeat in the 2020 season.

The Baltimore Ravens, who were the number one seed in the AFC last year, are also projected to win 12 games. Baltimore has kept their starting roster from last season mostly intact as well, so a drop-off for them isn’t too likely. They were so much fun to watch in 2019.

After the Chiefs and Ravens with 12 wins, the next highest projected win totals are the Saints and the team KC beat in Super Bowl LIV – the 49ers, both with 10.5. Dallas, Philadelphia, and Seattle have 9.5.

The next highest AFC win totals after KC and Baltimore are Buffalo and Pittsburgh with nine wins and after that, a lot of teams are locked in at 8.5 wins, showing that no one really knows what to expect in the AFC next year.

"There are teams with many needs throughout the league, so the KC Chiefs should count themselves lucky that the team has barely changed and really has no immediate needs. The gang is all here, and under Spags, the return of Chris Jones for the moment, Frank “the Shark” Clark on the D-line and the Honey Badger in the secondary,  the always improving defense can only get better."

Any time a team wins the Super Bowl, it’s only fitting that they be favored to be the best team the following year. That’s certainly the case with the Kansas City Chiefs here and they’re most definitely in their window right now.

Bringing back most of their Super Bowl winning roster was key, but they made many other free agent signings to fill holes and that’ll be crucial for this team moving forward. Unless a key injury happens, the season is shortened, or something else bizarre happens, the Chiefs not winning at least 12 games would be shocking.
