KC Chiefs news consists of how the Kansas City Chiefs winning Super Bowl LIV might have been best for the entire country, as it helped slow the spread of coronavirus.

Kansas City Chiefs fans were obviously thrilled when the team came back in the fourth quarter to win their first Super Bowl in five decades. It was the victory we had all been waiting for and while the win was obviously an exciting time for Kansas City, evidently the Chiefs winning might have been key in helping to stop spread of COVID-19.

San Francisco was one of the first cities to have a coronavirus outbreak and had the 49ers won Super Bowl LIV, there would have been a parade celebrating that victory. A parade would have surely led to more people being infected with COVID-19 in a city that was already dealing with the virus.

The YouTube video below is where Dr. Niraj Sehgal mentioned this along with other information.

"“People may not remember this that well, but Super Bowl weekend, in some ways, with apologies to the 49ers’ fans, the gift we may have been given was the 49ers losing,” Sehgal said."

If the 49ers had won the Super Bowl and had their parade, things could be much worse in our country right now when it came to the amount of COVID-19 cases. While Kansas City still had a parade, their population is much less than that of San Francisco and there hasn’t been an outbreak of coronavirus in KC yet (and hopefully there won’t be if we continue to social distance ourselves from others), so that was a huge help in limiting the spread.

Obviously Niners fans would have loved to have won their first Super Bowl in 15 years, but in this case, their team losing saved lives.

In times like these, any type of positive news is welcomed news. If the Kansas City Chiefs winning the Super Bowl could have saved hundreds or even thousands of lives, then the victory benefits the entire country and not just the fine people of Kansas City.

Hopefully the Chiefs get to celebrate their Super Bowl victory in the 2020 season, but no one knows when sports might start back up again or if we’ll even have an NFL season this year.
