KC Royals News: 2020 season should have been underway
KC Royals news is about how teams should have played one game already in 2020, but due to the season being delayed, who knows when we will have Major League Baseball again?
Kansas City Royals fans had March 26th marked on their calendars since the 2020 season schedule had been announced months ago. Unfortunately Opening Day was delayed due to COVID-19 and it’s hard not to be upset that baseball isn’t being played right now.
Even worse is that no one has any idea when things will be back to normal again or when fans might be singing “Take me out to the ball game” at the ball park again. No one knows when we might go through the turnstiles at Kauffman Stadium in 2020. No one knows much about this situation at all and that’s what makes it so scary.
The Royals were supposed to be in Chicago taking on the White Sox for their first series of the season, but instead we all spent Opening Day at home, which was a hashtag that MLB was promoting on social media on Thursday.

"The entire season – and really, our entire lives – have been put on pause."
We have no idea how long it might be before baseball gets going again. Initially, the season was suspended for two weeks, but now, however, we sit and wait.
The Royals are going to be an interesting team in 2020 because while they might not be a playoff team, they should be much improved from a season ago. It’ll also be a chance to see some prospects come up from the minor leagues and show us what they can provide in the coming years.
Hopefully we aren’t robbed of the 2020 season and things improve, but for now, all we can do is stay put in our homes and ride this out. Someday baseball will return and when it does, fans will appreciate it more than ever.
