The KC Chiefs had quite the rollercoaster ride in the 2019 regular season. Let’s rank every game from worst to first from the season that saw the Chiefs win their first Super Bowl title in 50 years.

The 2019 season immediately became the best season in Kansas City Chiefs history because the team made it to the Super Bowl and won the whole she-bang! I thought it’d be a fun offseason activity to go back and rank all 16 regular season games from worst to first.

This was a lot more difficult than I anticipated because the Chiefs only lost four games while winning 12. It was easy to put the four losses in the bottom four spots (spoiler alert, sorry), but what about the 12 wins? How did I decipher which wins were better than the others?

You’ll have to read on to find out.

RANKING 2019 REGULAR SEASON GAMES

NUMBER 16: WEEK 10 AT TITANS (35-32 LOSS)

Ugh. How could this game NOT be ranked as the worst from the 2019 season? Heading into this game in Nashville, the Chiefs were on a bit of a rocky road having lost three of their last five games and about to play a team who notoriously had their number in recent years.

Strange things happened whenever the Chiefs and Titans played in the past and strange things CONTINUED to happen when they played in week ten. It took some bizarre miscues for the Titans to beat Kansas City and even then they only managed to win by three points.

Even still – The Chiefs’ lost fumble returned for a Titans touchdown, the botched Chiefs field goal attempt with a little under a minute and a half to go, and a blocked field goal that could have sent the game to overtime were all another reminder that strange things happen when these two teams meet. After this game occurred, fans were really thinking the worst about the Chiefs’ chances in 2019 after they let a winnable game slip away.

The good news is that the Kansas City Chiefs had the last laugh, defeating the Tennessee Titans at Arrowhead Stadium in the AFC Championship Game to advance to Super Bowl LIV, where we know what happened next.
