The XFL has jumped off to a good start. The entertainment value of having football to watch, mixed with some exciting rule changes has been great for fans. Who should the Kansas City Chiefs look to add from the new football league?

All of these things are great from a fan’s perspective, but are there any players in this league that have a chance to make it at the next level in the NFL? I think there could be a few that the Kansas City Chiefs should look into signing.

P.J. Walker is a guy who is taking the XFL by storm, jumping off to an early lead in the MVP race, and could be earning himself a shot at an NFL roster spot. In this article, however, we will focus on targets for the Chiefs specifically.

Although Walker is clearly the best player in the XFL, the Chiefs don’t really have a high need for him having a great quarterback and a serviceable backup. The Chiefs do have many other positions though that will need some guys to come in and provide an upgrade or depth.

So, let’s look at a few XFL guys who could be beneficial free agent pickups for the Kansas City Chiefs.

1. Donald Parham, TE Dallas Renegades

Donald Parham has me star-struck. If you have not had a chance to watch him play yet, you need to. He is by far the best tight end in the XFL, leading all tight ends in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns.

The reason why he has been so productive in the XFL is that he is a matchup nightmare. He is 6’8″ 240 pounds and clocked in at 21.1 mph during a touchdown run during week three of the XFL.

Better defenders in the NFL could make up for his size advantage a little, but he is still always going to be 6’8″. I would love to see Patrick Mahomes throwing to him as his second tight end.

He is also only 22 years old, so he is young and has room for growth. He had a couple of shots at the NFL with the Redskins and the Lions last year after going undrafted out of Stetson University, but I would love to see him prove that the third time is the charm in Kansas City next season.
