The Kansas City Chiefs have some tough decisions to make this offseason and among them is who they should cut this spring.

Coming off their first Super Bowl victory in 50 years, the Kansas City Chiefs will have some truly difficult decisions to make this offseason that could be critical in them getting back to the big game again next season.

Figuring out who to cut and who to keep is tricky, but it’ll be especially important this offseason because Brett Veach is obviously wanting to extend Patrick Mahomes while also keeping Chris Jones in Kansas City with a long-term contract of his own. In order to make both of those guys happy, the Chiefs will have to make some other guys not so happy.

So – Who should the Chiefs look to cut this spring? Let’s take a look.

DUSTIN COLQUITT

This one might upset some people and I get it – I really do.

Dustin Colquitt is the longest tenured player on the Kansas City Chiefs roster, having been drafted in the third round of the 2005 NFL Draft and staying with the Chiefs for all of this time and on some really bad teams. That being said – The end is near for Colquitt.

While Colquitt has been consistent for the team, there are cheaper options out there at the punter position. With the long-time Chiefs punter finally getting a Super Bowl ring this past season, maybe the 38 year old will call it a career, but if he doesn’t, it’s time to cut ties this offseason.
