The Kansas City Chiefs will have some tough decisions to make this offseason. Here are six players who Brett Veach should try to keep in a Chiefs uniform for 2020 and potentially beyond.

While the biggest storylines this offseason are going to surround Chris Jones‘ future and Patrick Mahomes‘ eventual contract extension, the Kansas City Chiefs will have other decisions to make as well. They’ll need to make decisions on some players who are set to be free agents and try their best to bring those guys back.

Here are six players who the Chiefs should try to get back in Kansas City for 2020. I didn’t include Chris Jones because we’d all like to have him back, but that situation is complicated and his price tag won’t be cheap.

EMMANUEL OGBAH

One of the more under the radar moves that Brett Veach made this past offseason was acquiring Emmanuel Ogbah from the Cleveland Browns. All he had to give up in order to bring Ogbah to Kansas City was safety Eric Murray, who might not have even made the final roster.

Ogbah rose to stardom with the Chiefs, totaling 23 tackles, five and a half sacks, and 11 quarterback hits through ten games and four starts. Ogbah was injured in the Chiefs’ week ten loss to the Titans, but prior to that injury, he had recorded a sack in four of his last five games. The guy was a wrecking ball.

At just 26 years old, Ogbah could probably do quite well on the market, but his injury could make him more tempted to return to Kansas City. Hopefully the Chiefs can bring him back for the 2020 season and potentially beyond.
