The Kansas City Chiefs have this weekend off, as do the Baltimore Ravens, but four other teams will play. Who has the best quarterback and who has the worst quarterback on the AFC side of things?

The NFL playoffs begin this weekend and Kansas City Chiefs fans are excited that their team won’t be partaking in the festivities. It’s not that we don’t love watching them play, but any time your team can get a leg up on the competition, you take it, and the Dolphins provided the Chiefs with that advantage by gifting them a bye week.

A lot of the team, analysts will make their predictions in games based on which team has the better quarterback. That’s especially true in the playoffs, so I decided to rank all six quarterbacks in  the AFC playoffs.

We’ll start from worst and make our way up to first. I should preface this by saying this is solely based on what these players have done THIS season. It doesn’t matter that one has more rings than another or if they have an MVP on their resumé. This comes down to which signal callers are the scariest to face THIS season and who you absolutely don’t want to face come playoff time.

Let’s begin!

NUMBER SIX – JOSH ALLEN (BUFFALO BILLS)

The Buffalo Bills have been one of my favorite teams to watch this season. Their defense is ferocious, their run game is top notch, and who doesn’t love seeing a video of a Bills fan smashing into a table? We don’t deserve Bills fans.

One of the biggest things holding the Bills back this season, however, is their quarterback, Josh Allen. Look, Allen is fine, but fine isn’t exactly daunting in the playoffs.

Allen finished year two of his NFL campaign with much better numbers than his rookie season, but when it came down to beating big time opponents, he didn’t rise to the occasion. He’s a good runner, but he’s not an accurate enough passer to really strike fear into any opponents. If you put any kind of pressure on Allen, he’s extremely beatable.

Fortunately, Allen has a good team around him, and that’s why the Bills are in the playoffs for just the second time in the millennium. Can he rise to the occasion and help get his team a playoff win for the first time since the 90s?
