It’s the regular season finale in the NFL and while most fantasy football leagues ended in week 16, some choose to go all 17 weeks.

Those fantasy football leagues are more challenging to win, as teams will often bench their starters if they’re locked in to a particular seed. That’s why a lot of leagues opt to have week 16 be the championship round.

For those of you who are still fighting to win your league, have no fear! I’m here to help you win your league, but due to week 17 not being as active of a week for most leagues, things will be a little different in this edition than weeks past. We won’t go over last week’s advice and we’ll discuss first who you should start this week.

START ‘EM

I like Tannehill in week 17 because… Well, why wouldn’t you like Tannehill? The Titans have found themselves a gem in Tannehill and this week, in a must win game for Tennessee, he gets a lousy Texans secondary to go up against.

Mostert might not be the most talented of the 49er running backs, but he has been a touchdown scoring machine here lately. This game isn’t until Sunday night, so plan accordingly, but the 49ers should be running the ball a lot in this one, and that bodes well for those of you who have Mostert on your team.

At wide receiver, McLaurin has proven reliable in his rookie year. He might not have his Ohio State teammate throwing to him this weekend, but the Redskins looked fine with Case Keenum out there, and McLaurin should do just as well with Keenum throwing to him.

For tight end, why wouldn’t you trust Austin Hooper at this point? The Bucs secondary is vulnerable and Hooper has been wonderful for fantasy owners throughout most of the season.

Last, but not least, the defense I’d advise starting would be the Colts against the Jaguars. Jacksonville has been lousy on offense this year while Indianapolis has been quite good on defense. Neither team has anything to play for other than pride, but Indy should be able to shut down a pitiful Jags offense.

Now, let’s take a look at the final Sit ‘Ems of 2019.

SIT ‘EM

Steer clear of Rivers, in what could be his final game as a Charger. The Chiefs secondary has been playing well over the past month and the last time these two met, he threw four picks against Kansas City.

Montgomery has been underwhelming as a rookie and his chances of doing much against a stout Vikings defense isn’t likely. Chicago also has nothing to play for this weekend.

Brown might not even end up suiting up, but if he does, don’t expect him to do much. The Ravens just want to come out of this one with no major injuries.

McDonald has been a bust since Big Ben went down. With “Duck” Hodges back out there on Sunday, even in a must win game for Pittsburgh, I don’t like McDonald’s chances of putting up big numbers.

Lastly, the Seahawks defense isn’t what it once was, and that, paired with a tough offense on the schedule this week, is why owners should steer clear of playing Seattle’s defense this weekend.

Hopefully this advice helps you all out and you come away with a fantasy football championship in 2019!
