CAM AKERS – FLORIDA STATE

The Seminole back Cam Akers could be the ideal prospect for the Kansas City Chiefs Chiefs in the 2020 draft.

If history is any indication, fans should expect the Chiefs to be extremely interested in Cam Akers. A play style similar to Dalvin Cook of the Vikings (another former Seminole), Akers is the type of player capable of outplaying his draft position, wherever that may be.

Akers is not the game breaking explosive threat that Cook was (and still is), however, he offers the same versatility and ability to impact the game both running and receiving. Akers recorded 3,361 all purpose yards over the past three seasons with 34 touchdowns. His ability to impact a game in all categories makes him an attractive prospect for the Chiefs.

If the Chiefs target a running back in the draft, Akers is a prospect who should expect to receive a lot of interest, and for good reason. He can do everything on the football field and would be able to step in and contribute if not start immediately to help the football team.
