WHAT DID WE LEARN ABOUT THE CHARGERS?

For the Charger fans who continued to follow the team when they moved to Los Angeles, you’re good fans because this team is frustrating. If they could play the way they played against the Jaguars on Sunday most weeks, this team could have competed to win the AFC West again this year.

As mentioned, yes, the Chargers had a very good performance against Jacksonville, winning it 45-10 in sunny Florida. Philip Rivers quieted the skeptics for at least another week, throwing for 314 yards and three touchdowns and eventually paving the way for Tyrod Taylor to come in in relief.

Austin Ekeler had a MONSTER game. He ran all over the Jaguars, carrying the rock eight times for 101 yards and also had 112 receiving yards off of four receptions. The Jags defense had no answer for Ekeler.

The Bolts, as a whole, rushed for nearly 200 yards on Sunday, which is a far cry from their early season performances when it came to running the football. They looked like a playoff team this week, but unfortunately, their playoff window closed several weeks ago.

Joey Bosa had two sacks and three hits on Gardner Minshew while also recording three tackles for loss. He couldn’t get much going last week against the lousy Broncos offensive line, so nice to see Bosa back to being his normal self this week.

While Los Angeles is out of the playoff hunt, they can still try to ruin other teams’ seasons, starting next week when they host the Minnesota Vikings in the late window. If Vikings fans could fill Arrowhead Stadium, just imagine what they’ll do to the Chargers home stadium. That won’t be a pretty sight.
