Fantasy Football 2019: Start Em, Sit Em for Week 14
Here are some other players to keep in mind for Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em this week.
START ‘EM
- Quarterback – Baker Mayfield vs Bengals
- Running Back – Austin Ekeler vs Jaguars
- Wide Receiver – Alshon Jeffery vs Giants
- Tight End – Tyler Higbee vs Seahawks
- Defense/Special Teams – Minnesota vs Lions
SIT ‘EM
- Quarterback – Gardner Minshew vs Chargers
- Running Back – Jonathan Williams vs Buccaneers
- Wide Receiver – Marquise Brown vs Bills
- Tight End – Darren Fells vs Broncos
- Defense/Special Teams – Denver vs Texans
With the Start ‘Ems, Mayfield is usually a Sit ‘Em, but he gets the putrid Bengals defense this week, so now’s as good as time as any to start the Browns signal caller. Ekeler might not be a threat with running the ball, but he’s proven to be one of the best pass catchers for the Chargers.

Jeffery has had his fair share of struggles this week, but I like his chances against a bad Giants defense. Higbee dominated against Arizona a week ago and I’d continue to roll with him against the Seahawks this weekend at a thin position. Lastly, the Vikings defense gets a Detroit team on their third string quarterback, so expect a lot of turnovers there.
Now let’s look at the Sit ‘Ems. Minshew is going to be the Jaguars starter moving forward, but keep him on the bench against the Chargers this weekend. Williams gets the tall task of facing the stout Bucs run defense while Brown will see a tough Bills secondary.
Fells had a nice performance a week ago, but don’t bank on him following that up against the Broncos. Speaking of the Broncos, I’d fade their defense when they travel to Houston this weekend, as that Texans offense can heat up fast in the comfort of their own home.
Best of luck this week and hopefully you’ll be moving on in the playoffs!
