10 Dislikes

1. The Run Defense (Kind Of)

Josh Jacobs ran the ball 17 times for 104 yards against the Chiefs, which is good for 6.1 yards per pop. Which, yeah, it isn’t great, but with the Chiefs teeing off on Carr and containing the wide receivers, those yards were pretty harmless.

I’ll take giving up over six yards per carry in a 31-point victory any day of the week.

2. The Ghost of Sammy Watkins

Zero receptions on three targets.

3. Mahomes’ (Lack of) Accuracy

Like with giving up six yards per carry to Josh Jacobs, this didn’t hurt one bit, but it is notable: Mahomes only completed 15 of his 29 passing attempts, which is 51.7%.

Did the weather have something to do with it? Was he more relaxed than usual because the Chiefs owned this game from the very start?

Again, it didn’t matter. But it could against a better team. Like, say, next week’s opponent.

4. The Ghost of Demarcus Robinson

He caught a pass on which he scored a touchdown, but then was wiped away due to a dubious holding call on Darwin Thompson.

Aside from that: zero receptions on zero targets.

5. Slow Offensive Start

I don’t know about you, but I felt like the Chiefs should’ve been up 31-0 at halftime. The offense just wasn’t clicking on Sunday. Yeah, yeah, this is nitpicking, but the Chiefs are going to have to capitalize on early offensive opportunities starting next week.
