Bears vs Lions – Start ‘Em

T.J. Hockenson, TE, Detroit Lions

The Chicago Bears are a nightmare for opposing fantasy players. They are in the bottom half of points allowed for quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers. Tight ends, however, are where the Bears show a weakness. They are eighth in the league at tight end points allowed, and T.J. Hockenson could get a ton of targets as the Lions other receiving options could be smothered.

David Montgomery, RB, Chicago Bears

The Lions defense is susceptible to opposing running backs in fantasy and that means David Montgomery should be in line for a monster share of carries. This showdown screams of a good old fashion slobber knocker for both teams, as both teams are in the midst of struggling quarterback play.

That means a lot of carries for running backs. Look for Montgomery to carry this team to a win, and possibly break 20 fantasy points.

Chicago Bears D/ST

Kerryon Johnson is on IR, Matthew Stafford has been ruled out, and backup quarterback Jeff Driskel is questionable. There is a real chance David Blough starts this game for the Lions.

Look for the Bears defense to eat all day long. If you have them, or they are available in your league, scoop them up and start them. They could force turnovers, get sacks, pitch a shutout, and potentially score a touchdown. That is a recipe for a #1 fantasy finish.
