Yes, the KC Chiefs have Travis Kelce, but they still have a need at tight end and while the options are not great, there certainly are some intriguing prospects for the Chiefs in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Kansas City Chiefs offense has relied on the tight end position ever since Andy Reid arrived in Kansas City. Let’s be honest, the Chiefs are big fans of tight ends, having gone from Tony Gonzalez now to Travis Kelce.

Despite Kelce putting up another solid season, the depth and potential of the tight end position is an area that will need to be addressed during the 2020 draft. After visiting, scouting, and evaluating multiple tight end prospects last draft cycle, don’t be surprised if the Chiefs look to address the position this year.

The 2020 draft class at tight end certainly appears thinner than than last year’s class. This year’s class is loaded with prospects, perhaps undersized, who are good receivers but not much at all in terms of blocking.

The Chiefs will be looking for a player capable of doing both; Line up outside, inside, offer at minimum a willingness to block as well as work down the field in the passing game.

Let us take a look at perhaps a few prospects that could interest the Chiefs in this upcoming draft.
