KC Chiefs: Ranking remaining games for 2019 in order of difficulty
NUMBER 1 (MOST DIFFICULT)
WEEK 14 – AT NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS
Hopefully you all saw this one coming. The week 14 match-up against the Patriots is not only the toughest remaining game on the schedule, it was the toughest game coming into the season.
The Patriots, despite having one loss on the year, aren’t the same Patriots of old. Their offense isn’t good and that’s the one thing going KC’s way in this one. If the Chiefs can score on what’s been a mostly good Patriots defense, it’s unlikely New England will be able to keep up with them in a shootout.
The question is… Can the Chiefs offense be what it was last year and put up a lot of points? We haven’t seen it a ton recently and the Patriots defense is no slouch, so this could be a low scoring affair in Foxborough late in the season.
While this is the toughest game remaining for the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019, by no means does that mean it’s an automatic loss. Geoff Schwartz has said on the Stacking the Box podcast that he wouldn’t be surprised if the Chiefs won this game because Bill Belichick was focused on trying new things to beat them in the playoffs.
So yes, it’s a tough game, but don’t count Kansas City out of this one.
