NUMBER 4

WEEK 16 AT CHICAGO BEARS

This looked like such a tough game when the 2019 schedule was released, but the Bears have shown they’re not the same team they were a year ago. A large part of that is due to the porous play at the quarterback position; Imagine trading up to draft Mitchell Trubisky with the second overall pick when you could have had Patrick Mahomes or Deshaun Watson. Can’t relate, right Chiefs fans?

Anyway, I flirted with putting this game higher, I really did, but let’s just say it – The Chicago Bears aren’t a scary team this year. Matt Nagy might pull out all the stops against his old team and his protege Andy Reid.

The Bears defense is still REALLY good and the Chiefs will see Khalil Mack, an old friend of theirs in the AFC West, who is terrifying. While their defense is capable of winning them games, Chicago’s anemic offense has been what ailed them this season and even the Chiefs defense should be able to limit them.

This was initially a Sunday night game, but with flex scheduling in full effect now, don’t be surprised if this game gets flexed out of that spot. The Bears aren’t the same draw they were at the beginning of the year and the Chiefs could be in that same boat as well. If Trubisky truly is benched for the duration of the season, then that takes away the “class of 17” match-up.

Yes, this game is on the road and late in the season, but by week 16, it’s possible the Bears are just ready to throw in the towel and not give it their all.
