Fantasy Football 2019: Thursday Night Football Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em Week 12
By Gage Stagner
Start of the Week – EricEbron, TE, Indianapolis Colts
Eric Ebron had another rough week in week 11 against the Jaguars. This was due to game script though, as the Colts ran the ball 36 times in route of Jacksonville.
In week 10, Ebron saw 12 targets against an egregious Dolphins team. This is a week after he initiated a meeting with head coach Frank Reich about his role. It looks like that may have paid off after underwhelming this year.
Ebron had a breakout campaign in 2018 with a new team and seems to be frustrated with the way he’s been played thus far. Although some may think he’s trending down after last week, I look at it the opposite way.
Jack Doyle caught zero balls on no targets in Jacoby Brissett’s return. Again, that had a lot to do with game script, but it is still notable. While Houston has been 11th best against tight ends this year, they just gave up a massive game to Mark Andrews of the Ravens. The Texans are also beat up on both sides of the ball and are trending in the wrong direction.
With Marlon Mack out for Thursday night, Indianapolis should lean much heavier on the passing game against a team that just gave up 41 points to the Baltimore Ravens. Ebron should see a good amount of targets and a couple endzone opportunities in a game with some points put up.
Ebron is a top-10 play at the position in week 12.
