In Week 11, on Monday Night Football from Mexico City, the Kansas City Chiefs held off the Los Angeles Chargers 24-17, moving to 7-4 and staying atop the AFC West.

Now, with a bye this upcoming week, the Kansas City Chiefs can rest, heal, and prepare for the final five weeks of the 2019 season.

Here are my 10 likes and 10 dislikes from the Chiefs hard-fought victory over the Chargers, who dropped to 4-7.

1. Clark’s Arrival

Like some fans, I’d previously harped about the lack of production from defensive end Frank Clark, the team’s biggest (and priciest) offseason acquisition. But he showed up Monday against the Chargers, collecting five tackles, one sack, one tackle-for-loss, three quarterback hits, and one pass deflection. His pressure against Philip Rivers led directly to two of the four interceptions by the Chiefs.

Great arrival for No. 55.

2. Mahomes’ Playmaking

Patrick Mahomes passing numbers weren’t the greatest against the Chargers’ stout defense. He finished 19 for 32 for 182 yards with one touchdown pass and one interception, taking one sack and finishing with a rating of 72.7. But he ran the ball five times, and effectively, collecting 59 yards including a 24-yard scamper.

Plus, some of those 19 completions were things of beauty. Even on an off night with under 200 yards passing, Mahomes was still the most electrifying player on the field.
