WINNER: OFFENSIVE LINE

The gang was back together this week with both Eric Fisher and Laurent Duvernay-Tardif returning to the starting lineup and it showed. Patrick Mahomes was sacked just once and while he was hit five times, limiting Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram from getting their hand on Mahomes was impressive.

Fisher clearly wasn’t 100%, but it was good to see him back out there. Chiefs fans should never take him for granted again because we saw how badly this unit looked without him at left tackle.

WINNER: EVERYONE WHO PICKED OFF RIVERS

Something fans wanted to see more of from this defense was forcing takeaways and they did just that on Monday night, picking Philip Rivers off four times. It honestly should have been five, but Tyrann Mathieu dropped an easy interception. He did have one earlier in the game however.

Derrick Nnadi had the most bizarre pick with Frank Clark forcing a fumble and the ball landing in Nnadi’s hands. A pick is a pick, I guess!

Rashad Fenton looked to have the game sealing interception, but the Chiefs ended up having to punt it back once again. Daniel Sorensen had the game winning pick instead.

Four different players picking off Rivers was impressive and two of them came in HUGE moments. Props to the defense for finally forcing some turnovers. That was something we needed to see more of and we saw it on Monday.
