The KC Chiefs were leading by five points with under two minutes to go, but after a failed third and two attempt, everything went south rather quickly.

That’s the type of loss you throw into the dumpster and try to forget about as quickly as possible. Seriously, what a disgusting ending for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Tennessee Titans, who once again got the best of the Chiefs and handed them a brutal loss.

The Chiefs needed that win and they failed to capture it. Now with the loss, they only have a one game lead over the Raiders, who have an easy schedule coming up. This isn’t something Chiefs fans expected this year yet here we are; The AFC West is suddenly competitive.

Without further ado, let’s get to a dreaded edition of winners and losers, starting with arguably the biggest loser of the game.

LOSER: SPECIAL TEAMS

What happened to this unit? Dave Toub used to be one of the most important people in the Chiefs organization, but the special teams unit this year has been an absolute dumpster fire.

Mecole Hardman fielded a punt at the three yard line at the end of the first half and THAT seemed like the biggest head scratching moment of the game. But nope, Hardman is somewhat off the hook because the special teams outdid themselves and boy did they ever!

After failing to convert on third and two, Harrison Butker lined up to kick the field goal. Either something happened with the snap by James Winchester or the Chiefs were doing a fake there because Dustin Colquitt threw the ball and got an intentional grounding penalty. Yeah, that really happened.

Then, on the final attempt of the game to try and tie things up, Butker’s kick was blocked to ice the win for Tennessee. I don’t want to talk about special teams anymore or I’m going to throw my laptop out the nearest window. Let’s jut wrap it up by saying this: SPECIAL TEAMS WAS GARBAGE ON SUNDAY.
