Patrick Mahomes will start for the Kansas City Chiefs against the Tennessee Titans. How will that affect the betting odds and lines?
The Kansas City Chiefs (6-3) are now in a must-win scenario on the road against the Tennessee Titans. The Chiefs hold just a half-game lead in the AFC West over the Oakland Raiders.
The big news is Adam Teicher, ESPN NFL Nation reporter, announced Patrick Mahomes will start against the Titans after missing two and a half games due to a knee injury.
The game will be broadcast on CBS, or you can live stream it on FuboTV.
Titans vs. Chiefs: The Bettings Odds
It seems as if the oddsmakers have been confident Mahomes will play, and the lines have stayed relatively steady, with the Chiefs holding as a six-point favorite on the spread, courtesy of the Action Network. Kansas City proved they could win even without their MVP as back-up Matt Moore has played well the last two weeks, but getting Mahomes back is a big boost.
The over and under for this game sits at 49, which is about what it has been for the past few weeks for Chiefs’ games. Kansas City has shown they can score points no matter who is playing quarterback.
Chiefs Key Injuries
The injury report for the Chiefs looks much better than it has in past weeks. While there is still a lot of players on the list, only one, Alex Okafor, hasn’t practiced at all, and he and Eric Fisher won’t play. Frank Clark, Laurent Duvernay-Tardiff, and Kendall Fuller are practicing but limited in what they do.
Chris Jones, Mahomes, Derrick Nnadi, and Alfred Ivie have all been full participants in practice the last few days.
Titans Key Injuries
Tennessee had several players sitting out this week in practice, including Corey Davis, Jayon Brown, Jurrell Casey, Delanie Walker, and Jeffery Simmons.
Harold Landry and Christopher Milton were full practice participants in the last few days and will most likely suit up against Kansas City.
Titans vs. Chiefs: The Weather
The weather in Nashville should be nice, though, at this time, there is a very slight chance of some little drizzle during the game, according to NFLWeather.com.
Look for ideal temperatures in the lower to mid-sixties with a slight breeze for most of the game.

How good can the Kansas City Chiefs be when healthy?
The Chiefs haven’t been fully healthy all year, but if they can get guys like Fuller, Duvernay-Tardiff, Clark, Fisher all on the field at the same, not even to mention Mahomes, how good can they be?
Kansas City probably hasn’t played its best ball yet, which might be scary for the rest of the league. If they can get their starting five offensive linemen all back to 100 percent, mend all the bumps and bruises on the defense, and keep the offensive weapons all healthy – look out!
Give Andy Reid and his staff a lot of credit for holding this team together through all of these injuries that have piled up on Kansas City this season. The fact there has been enough depth to survive so many injuries to so many key players has been amazing.
With Mahomes back and others on the mend, this team could be beastly down the stretch after their week 12 bye. The NFL better watch out and because he comes the Chiefs!

There is little surprising about the Chiefs’ odds and lines this week. They’ve proven they are competitive even without their reigning MVP and hard to beat with him. That is a mark of a great team, and Kansas City will try to stay unbeaten on the road. Odds say they will!
