WINNER: MATT MOORE

When looking at Matt Moore’s numbers, nothing would really make you think “WOW! What a great game!”, but when you take into account that he’s the backup quarterback, it means a lot more (no pun intended).

Moore finished the afternoon going 25 of 35 for 275 yards and a touchdown while also getting sacked five times and hit nine times. He had some really nice throws, including the touchdown pass to Tyreek Hill and another big throw to Hill (more on that in a bit).

Moore led KC to a 1-1 record while Patrick Mahomes was out and Chiefs fans will gladly take that. He did everything that was asked of him and looked good in the process.

WINNER: TYREEK HILL

How could I not loop Tyreek Hill in with the winners this week? He was Moore’s go-to guy, grabbing six receptions for 140 yards and a touchdown while also making an insane circus catch to put KC in Vikings territory.

Another big moment from Hill was when he grabbed a pass from Moore as the clock was winding down and got better field position for Butker when it came to having to make that field goal attempt. If that catch doesn’t happen, maybe Butker isn’t the hero of the day.

The Chiefs needed a receiver to step up and that guy, once again, was Tyreek Hill.
